R

R J.

Maybe the funniest baby in the history of babies.  And thank God for that!  This child entered the world with relative ease, looked up at me and smiled.  Next, he looked up at the camera that the nurse was holding and waved. No joke.  Too much.   My God this boy smiles and laughs a lot.

The whole world is a joke to him... and I think he's on to something.  He must have been watching from Heaven and been like, "seriously God??? them? nah, you're pulling my leg! oh.. wait, really? shit. ok, i'll make the best of it then. see you in a century God. "

He is that baby that can coax a smile out of even that crotchy old man in line behind you at the supermarket.  He has a wiseness behind his eyes that give him away.  Not in a secret "old soul" kind of way. He looks at you and smiles in the corner of his mouth as if to say, "i know what you're up toooo... and i liiiike it!"    He thrives on mischief and his brother's misbehavings.  that's a word, right?

He started climbing out of his crib last week. Bonked his head more than a few times. Skinned his chin on one escape attempt.  He don't care. (said in a white trash staten island way "he done caayah"  He is so funny.

Like his brother, he is very sensitive.  He loves his Mama and his big brother very much.  Most mornings, he starts his day by resting his head against his big brother J. They sit and drink their chocolate milk and watch whatever is on tv.  They are warm and snuggly And wonderful. And thank God. Because that gives me a few minutes to get the coffee goin and start my own day.
