Mr Postman

I rarely mail anything.  I went through a BIG ebay phase- out of necessity.   I pay every bill online.   Social mail is gone, even email is pretty much over with now that facebook is life.

I mailed 3 things at the post office yesterday.  That's like, a YEAR'S worth of mail for me.

1.  A check for $2500 to my lawyer so that I can try to move forward in this divorce process.  I was hoping that he would just sign the papers and be done with it.  No such luck.  He's being a pain in the ass and prolonging the agony.  And my debt.

2.  A form to Albany to the office of "unclaimed funds"-- because I was notified that I never received a tax return check from a million years ago.  I'm hoping it turns out to be more than 2 bucks, but if it is 2 bucks, I'll be happy to spend it.

3.  A personal letter to a friend.  Weird, right?    But I wanted to send her a small something and mail was the best way.  Funny.  It seemed good and funny to send a personal letter in the mail.  I'm not mad at the lack of personal letters in the mail in this day and age.. In fact, I'm so glad that facebook etc has made it so easy to re-connect with people from our pasts.  But I hope that an actual letter in the mailbox will put a smile on her face, in contrast to the bills and marketing fliers.
