BBQ People

Today was my niece, and God daughter's 6th birthday party.  My twin and her new family live way down south Jersey..  "Piney's" is what they're called now.   They  live in a great little waterfront community.  Everyone knows everyone, and everyone is related to everyone in some way.. not in a creepy way, but in a small town, where no one feels the need to leave kind of way.

My brother in law ownes his own tug boat business.  His brother is a commercial fisherman, as was their father before them.  They live a wonderfully simple blue collar bbq, fire pit lifestyle.  It's all I ever wanted for myself and my family.

I grew up in a very blue collar family and neighborhood.  As I've mentioned before, I want nothing more than the security of a good man to love me and my kids, and a backyard to bbq in.   There is so much peace and joy in the simple things in life.

I am so happy for my twin sister to have wound up in the little town she is in now.  They have fire pits in their expansive back yard year round.  Deer eat their plants and flowers as they pass through their yard in the morning.  Friends and neighbors drop off "extra" fish and seafood from time to time, just because they had a good day out on the boat.

Lovely.

It's all so lovely.   Simplicity, and pure happiness.  It's all I want.  A simple happy life.
