mom n dad

So i'm living in my parents' house right now. I could not be more grateful.  It's the house I grew up in, and love, so it's kind of cool to know that my boys are seeing things that I saw at the same age. For example, my 19 month old is obsessed with the detailing on the banister of the milllion year old stairs. I can remember running my tiny fingers along the pretty carpentry, and that's awesome.
Equallly awesome is how great my parents have been about sharing their home with us during their retirement, when they really should be relaxing 24/7.  They are so gracious to take us in, and act totally cool about how our 'stuff' has completely engulfed their living space.
I am very well aware of the fact that there are so many women in our country who are forced into shelters, etc when they leave their deadbeats, and I am eternally grateful that my parents don't make me work for anything... they play with the kid's toys-- put silly hats on the big foot and robot when the boys are asleep to surprise them in the morning and prove, once again, that their toys are REAL! They are really great.
I truly hope one day I can repay them.
