L O V E

(I feel the need to explain that I wrote this post before the Newtown tragedy)

This picture is taken in front of my old apartment building in midtown.  Those are my two boys in there between the V and the E.   My parents treated us today to the Radio City Christmas Spectacular.  It was magical.  The boys reacted to the show exactly the way that one would fantasize how your child might react.  Big bright eyes, LOTS of wide, starry eyes, and soooo many "oooohs" and "Ahhhhhhs".    Such a wonderful day.  We saw the show, and then the tree at Rockefeller Center... cause we were being TOTAL tourists, in a good way.    After the tree, my parents headed to American Doll Store, and I brought the boys to see the building that we used to live in.   You would've thought that I was bringing them to FAO.   They were so excited to see the place that our little family began.  I definitely teared up a bunch of times as the memories flooded my heart and soul.
I got to hang out and talk to one of my old doormen  (was so happy it was my favorite guy! Michael)   After a short tour of the building we used to call home, the boys and I met up with my parents again, and headed to one of my favorite pubs from my days of yore.  We had dinner at Cassidy's Pub.
Burgers, Fish n chips, and what have you.  Perfect in every way.  It was a loud Irish pub,  just next door to my old apartment building, where I spent many many many hours, back in the day.  It really was an extension of my home, way back in my young, interesting, beautiful days.
The boys loved it because it was loud and busy and had seemingly no rules of etiquette (in a good way).
I loved it because my burger was insanely ridiculous, and because my heart was warm with great memories of my former home away from home.  My Mom looooved her fish n chips, and Pop lamented about not having another chicken cutlet courdonbleu when we got home.. so I think he liked his meal as well.

R acted like a lunatic that had escaped the asylum on the busride home, but I am willing to overlook it if he sleeps late tomorrow! Fingers crossed... and I'm really crossing them HARD!!!   lol

THANK YOU, GOOD NIGHT!!!
