Easter sitting

Yesterday evening, I spent my time supervising a visit between my boys and their dad for Easter.  Every other year, my family alternates the holiday.  On the even years, my parents get to have Easter here with all of us.  On the odd years, we all spend it elsewhere, or send our kids off to the in laws (how appropriate that those are the "odd" years.), depending on custody scenarios and what not.  For example, this year, my twin had to send her daughter off to spend the holiday with her ex and his family, while she and her new husband and son spent the day with her now in laws...  I, on the other hand, am a whole other category.  I don't just get to send my kids off to their Dad and celebrate with my own family.. No.  I get to go and supervise their visit.  So there I sit, making small talk with all of my ex-in laws while my boys play with their dad and have Easter, pretending I'm not really there.  So weird.
So that was my Easter.  Weird and weird and weird.  On a positive note, I do really like most of my ex-in-laws.  On a negative note, my son's father shouldn't need a frikkin supervisor for a few hours on a visit.  That's it for now.   Still trying to re-find my writing groove.
